Crisis? Only because the BCCI chose to make it one
Provided Steve Bucknor is allowed the dignified retirement he wants and deserves, at a time of his own choosing, the frequently villified ICC may be said to have come rather well out of the affair of Harbhajan Singh and Andrew Symonds. I am not sure that the same is true of the BCCI, whose muscles were flexed somewhat indecently throughout. One understands, of course, the particular sensitivity of matters pertaining to race, but either the BCCI, like all other national representative bodies, accepts the rules of the ICC and, in this case, the procedures that everyone has agreed, whatever the outcome, or there is potential anarchy. The row that erupted at Sydney when some of the Australian players accused Harbhajan of calling Symonds a 'monkey' was only a crisis so long as the BCCI chose to make it so.
Qtrax free music player disappoints
Qtrax had promised a working beta last night, but we knew there was going to be problems after visiting the website. The company warned that downloads weren’t yet available and posted this message on the site. "We're thrilled with the massive response we've received. To ensure the best user experience, we're activating accounts in stages. In the meantime, enjoy all the functionalities of the Qtrax player like importing and playing your music and searching for artist-related content." Disregarding the warning, we downloaded the 9.4 MB install program anyways. After the install, the program scans your hard drive for music and appeared to crash several times during the process. We had to continually close and restart the program to get Songbird working again.

Wolfowitz got in trouble for allegedly arranging a high-ranking position at the bank for his girlfriend, and ensuring that she got a large pay raise. Wolfowitz, a conservative long supported by US President George Bush, had taken over his top post on an anti-corruption platform, so the appointment was viewed as hypocritical and violating bank regulations." The fact is that Wolfowitz arranged the position for his girlfriend, following the guidelines approved and communicated to him by the directors of the bank. Wolfowitz only resigned after the bank recognized this fact and cleared him of any wrongdoing. After all, when a top down corrupt institution accuses their top dog of wrongdoing, whether he did or not, is irrelevant. His reputation is destroyed. That's politics, folks. Richard A Brown
