Chow & Tell: Taste Buds at Blue Adobe Grille
Along with our dip, we chose a small cup of red chile pork posole soup with spicy mixes of roasted pork and hominy in a red chile broth ($5.25). The red chile pork posole could be an elixir for the ill in small isolated villages. Our server graciously brought us a sample of the green chile chicken corn chowder ($3.50). The chowder was thick and creamy enough to comfort our taste buds. Do you see a theme here? Staying true to the New Mexican cuisine, green/red chile is used in almost every dish at Blue Adobe. The lobster dip was delicious although we would have preferred to enjoy it with tortilla chips instead of the deep fried flour crisps. As for the soups, we liked the red chile pork posole better. The spices and flavor hit the spot. For dinner Jennifer picked the chorizo stuffed chicken ($16), which was a pecan-grilled chicken breast stuffed with chorizo, green chiles, fontina cheese and smothered with anamaretto mushroom cream sauce.

I forgot what the question was," the inspector said. "I think the question was, 'You didn't find any clues?' " Du Bois said. National Gallery gets $2M donation
The gallery announced today that Audain's donation will be used for the endowment of a chair in indigenous art. The money comes on top of the $2 million Audain donated to the gallery last year for the acquisition of Canadian contemporary art, with special emphasis on works by aboriginal and British Columbia artists. Those are just some of the millions Audain has pumped into the Canadian art world. Just a few weeks ago the Audain Foundation, a major force in the B.C. visual arts world, handed $1 million to the Bill Reid Gallery of Northwest Coast Art, which is to open in Vancouver next May. .
Toe to Toe: Hodes versus Schmidley (Hodes)
Make no mistake, Johan Santana to the Mets is a huge deal. Epic, in fact. But does it make the Mets New York's team? Not even close. The Yankees are still tops in New York, and one pitcher, no matter how great, cannot do anything to change that. Historically, the comparisons scarcely need to be made. Then again, why not have some fun. World Series Titles: 26-2. Pennants: 39-4. Division Titles: 15-2. Need I go on? The Yankees are the most successful franchise in the history of professional sports. The Mets? Eh, not so much. Still, this isn't a historical debate -- it's an exercise in who will be the "it" team in New York in 2008. Hyaluronic Acid Stimulates Collagen Production
Injections with "dermal fillers" containing hyaluronic acid appear to stimulate production of collagen, a primary protein in the skin. This means that dermal fillers may actually restore the structure of sun-damaged skin, according to an article in the February issue of Archives of Dermatology. Injectable skin fillers have become increasingly popular for correcting the lines and wrinkles associated with aging, as well as acne scars and other skin conditions. Hyaluronic acid, a compound that occurs naturally in the skin and connective tissue, is among the most widely used fillers in the United States. Its molecules bind to water in the skin, hydrating and firming its structure, and the loss of hyaluronic acid with aging is associated with skin dehydration and wrinkling. .
Stop Chasing High-Tech Cheaters
Opening up The New York Times last week, I stumbled across an article that outraged me. "Colleges Chase as Cheats Shift to Higher Tech" detailed the struggle of some academics against new, high-tech forms of "cheating" that are based in Internet use, iPods, cellphones, and PocketPCs. The tone of the article was one of dismay at the collapse of morality in education. As I watched the article climb the "most e-mailed list" on the Times Web site through the day, my outrage increased. .
