Unionist ‘summit’ in bid to thwart SNP
S.C.U.M. (thanks to Wullie for that appropriate designation) wants to talk about Scotland's future - so they go to London. When this is pointed out - it's an ant-english rant! Here's an idea - why don't these parties, instead of colluding and conspiring, challenge the SNP to debate the issue on television? Alex Salmond would wipe the floor with the lot of them. .
Pettini Begins Another Season
If things go right for him, he is going to have a good career,'' Pettini predicted. On the subject of steroids, Joe believes it is time that Congress gets out of the business of baseball. ‘‘I'm really tired of all these hearings in Washington. I also think that Congress has a lot more important things to worry about than to get into baseball's problems,'' Pettini bristled. Joe admits that baseball was guilty of dragging its foot at the beginning but stressed that things have changed. ‘‘We are taking the right steps to try and eliminate steroid abuse,'' he insisted. ‘‘We're being singled out over the other sports and that irritates me. But I also understand it. Baseball is a statistics sport. People judge careers by the numbers individuals put up. It is important that we clean up this mess so that the fans and everybody else won't have to question the integrity of our game.'' Our luncheon conversation last week then turned back to the field and his thoughts about the upcoming season.
Britney Spears and Adnan: ‘Classiest Couple ‘08’
Britney Spears and her paparazzi man-candy Adnan Ghalib have been embarking on daily shopping sprees over the past week. One stop was the Betsey Johnson store in Sherman Oaks where Britney apparently came out of a dressing room buck-ass naked, according to Life & Style: "I was blown away. Britney's private parts were right in front of me!" a store employee tells Life & Style.
"I grabbed a dress to cover her and she screamed, 'Get away from me! Don't you f------ come near me!' says the employee.
"Then she disappeared in the dressing room with Adnan for 45 minutes. They were making weird noises. It was disgusting." When Britney and Adnan finally came out, what followed is probably the most accurate description of how I imagine Britney talking: "I couldn't understand a word she was saying.

Dad did not sleep well the night before so most the time he would pack the car the evening before. Mom would try to let Dad get a couple of hours of sleep before the long drive from Ohio to the Cape. We would normally leave late and drive through the night and get to the Cape around noonish. We tried to stop once and that was a disaster as no one sleep and it was a waste of money. Even into my years of driving, we have done the same. Only now that it is just my wife and I we do try to find a place to stop over night to and from. Personally I would rather get there and have more time for the Cape. But I am learning to take things a little easier now that the kids are not along for the ride. The only night with more anticipation was Christmas Eve, we couldn’t sleep, we didn’t want to sleep, we just wanted to go.
